We look forward to seeing you in Düsseldorf: stand no. G34 Hall 10
K is the world’s premier trade fair for plastic materials and rubber. Held in Düsseldorf from 19th to 26st October, this year’s K2016 shall welcome some 3,000 exhibitors and the biggest companies in the industry from around the world. The figures from the 2013 trade fair speak for themselves: 3,215 exhibitors from 59 countries and 27,423 professional visitors from 108 countries. It is a unique platform where new commercial partnerships are forged and the industry’s most advanced technology is showcased.
Macpresse will be there with our MAC 106, 107 and 112XL balers, specifically designed for processing plastics and ideal for baling PET, plastic film, rigid plastics and HDPE. Not only that, we shall also be presenting our brand new MAC/2 baler series, designed to bale all recyclables.
Macpresse plastic material balers: extreme flexibility and maximum cost savings
Whenever a customer contacts us to update their facility and when developing and perfecting a new machine, we ask ourselves what features a baler should have to further improve the efficiency of the process in terms of performance and cost savings, and how we can produce high quality secondary raw materials.
From our own experience and having spoken with our customers, we have been able to identify three key features that ensure that our plastic material balers fully meet the needs of the industry:
1 – Optimisation of transport and storage costs
One of the main features that sets the entire Macpresse range apart is the optimal bale size and shape produced to keep transport and storage costs to a minimum, even for special materials like plastic film and HDPE.
Here you can see our MAC 107 in operation:

And here the MAC 112XL baler baling plastic material:
2 – Maximum flexibility in the recycling sorting phase
Waste that is collected separately differs greatly both in size and technical characteristics. With MAC balers, you can easily switch from one material to another and still produce an optimal bale size, density and shape.
The following video shows our MAC 106 and 107 in action during the selection and compacting phases:

3 – Cost savings and efficiency throughout the baling phase thanks to plastic wire
Traditional baling systems use metallic wire that is expensive, rusts and produces ash and residue when incinerated, while the metallic wire reels also take up a lot of space. That is why we have patented a plastic wire baler system specially designed for plastic materials, making the process cheaper and more efficient.
