Sales successes for the plastic twine binding machine
 The research and innovation programme continues with success for Macpresse through the sale of the new binding machine using plastic twine. Currently there are more than 20 of these systems worldwide, supplied by Mac since 2005.
The system technology was developed by Mac in response to an ever-growing demand from customers for binding machines using materials other than baling wire.
The plastic binding system allows bales of waste to be burned without the cost of disposing of the waste that baling wire generates in waste-to-energy facilities.
The politier system is used mainly by companies that bale waste in order to optimize transport and disposal in incinerators.
For the same diameter, plastic twine has a greater breaking strength than baling wire, in addition to weighing considerably less and not rusting if exposed to the elements.
Mac has developed this baling system with the collaboration of one of Europe's biggest plastic twine manufacturers.
